Sunday Stockholm Skansen Zoo Animals Park

Before May becomes June I thought I had better post a new blog before anybody worries that I am dead. And just like Mark Twain, rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated (before any pedants point out that this is not the correct quote, I am quite aware that it was actually: The report of my illness grew out of his illness, This report of my death was an exaggeration.)

Anyway, the sun was out in Stockholm this weekend and Sam and I had a lovely time. Saturday was spent in the park, and that is where we spent Sunday morning from which the top two photos are taken. I think my trampolining technique is slightly gayer than Sam's but before he gets a big head and teases me about that, check out the little boy in the swing next to him... A much more daredevil technique than Sam!

Sunday afternoon Sam and I went to Skansen with my friend Ulrika. At times like this, I like to turn to Wikipedia for a description and it says: Skansen is the first open air museum and zoo in Sweden and is located on the island Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden. It was founded in 1891 by Artur Hazelius (1833-1901) to show the way of life in the different parts of Sweden before the industrial era.

We had a lovely afternoon there, Sam went on two different types of train, had an ice cream, and saw amongst other things some bears, some elk and an owl.... The only thing that spoiled it was that by the time we got home he had a fever and it was straight to bed for the poor little thing. We are at home today, he is much better but probably only rocking at 80%... Hopefully an extra day off from daggis and he will be back to 100% tomorrow....
