So I've come for a flying visit chez Pam and Roy. I arrived Wednesday and leave Saturday evening. As Michael will have mentioned, Lorgues is a beautiful village. Thursday we had perfect blue skies and it was very warm. We took Sammy for a walk to the village, stopping by Pam and Roy's high-stakes (there was a cup and a shield and a scoreboard involved) boules match against the British Association. Then on to the village centre for a coffee and croissant and Sammy had a great time in the new playground. On the way back we met neighbour Robert in his unfeasibly skimpy shorts and knee-high socks. A vision.
Then it was home and Sammy's bed time after his "In the Night Garden" fix, and Michael and I headed back into the village for some dinner.
Now we're home, and enjoyed some bubbly (cava as I am Cava Kate) and Pam's sausage, duck and bean cassoulet. Provençal cooking at its best. Then I almost won at Monkey Train but Roy was lucky at the last minute!
Thanks Pam and Roy for a lovely couple of days. A bientot!!
